John Farnham celebrates birthday surrounded by family

Australian music icon John Farnham has celebrated a major birthday surrounded by his wife, son and daughter-in-law.

The 'You're the Voice' singer rang in his 75th birthday on July 1 with a cosy family dinner.

"Happy birthday Papa J, looking forward to making many more happy memories with you guys," his daughter-in-law Melissa Farnham (née Kelly) said on social media.

Rob Farnham, one of two children shared by Mr Farnham and his wife Jillian Billman, also posted a picture to Instagram of the himself and the "birthday boy" relaxing in the sun.

"Happy birthday Dad. Love you," he wrote.

Australian TV presenter Richard Wilkins responded saying "we ALL love that guy...and your beautiful family!"

The singer has been out of the public eye since undergoing a jaw reconstruction in August 2022 after he received an oral cancer diagnosis. He announced he was cancer-free in August 2023.

Fans were elated when Mr Farnham was spotted at his son's wedding in June looking happy and healthy.
