Want to go experience the Nürburgring but not keen on risking your own car?

Korean luxury brand Genesis is the latest carmaker to launch a fleet of Track Taxis, offering passenger rides around the famed 20.8km circuit.

Starting from July 6, up to three passengers can strap themselves into one of the Genesis G70s that'll be pounding around 'The Green Hell'.

Prices start from €120 ($193), which is significantly cheaper than the Nürburgring's own Ring Taxi service which opens from €349 ($560) for a ride in a BMW M5, and rises to €499 ($800) for a Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.

Each of the performance sedans – which produces 274kW of power and 510Nm of torque from its 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 engine – are wrapped in a striking orange livery with black accents, possibly as a way to drum up interest in the new Genesis Magma spin-off performance brand.

Genesis has partnered with Michelin to ensure its track taxis are shod in high-performance tyres which are suitable for all track and weather conditions.

Luc Donckerwolke, Genesis chief creative officer, views this program as a significant milestone for the brand and the automotive industry.

"The launch of the Genesis Track Taxi Nordschleife program marks an important milestone in our journey to delivering bold high-performance cars, showcasing the power, handling and performance that the brand can offer," said Mr Donckerwolke.

The Nürburgring Nordschleife, which is 20.830 kilometres long and features more than 150 corners, was formerly a Formula One circuit until 1976, when Niki Lauda's near-fatal crash spelt an end to its Grand Prix-hosting days.

The Genesis Track Taxi program comes after the Nürburgring Nordschleife increased the speed requirements during touristenfahrten sessions to 130km/h last year.

Prior to the new rule's introduction, vehicles had a minimum 30mph (48km/h) speed requirement.

Participants in tourist sessions aren't allowed to drift or stop along the track, and must adhere to a vehicle noise restriction of less than 130dB.
